Until Next Time

Kaylee's first County Fair
Lovin her Bows!

So, my long absence started when lightening came through and struck everything except my house... our washer and dryer, an outbuilding, a couple of electrical lines, and of course.. our satellite internet. We've been checking e-mail here and there, since we are on a waiting list to get it fixed. It's a mess. Since then, I have started my new job at Crossett High School as an Agriculture Teacher. We are living in Crossett, and we just now found a rent house that we can move into at the beginning of next month. Things are going ok, we just have to keep on keepin on! I ask that you keep my grandmother in your prayers, she is not doing very well. Anyways, until I can write again, I still check in now and then with your blogs! I am still around, just can't write my own as much. I miss you all dearly!!

My Vehicle Evolution

I got my first car at the mere age of 15, a couple of months before my 16th birthday. I was away on a FFA trip for the weekend, just to come home to a 2001 pontiac sunfire, completely paid for. I kept that sunfire for 5 years, only being in a shop once for a recalled part.

My parents started to worry about the reliabilty of the sunfire since I was going into the 2nd semester of my junior year of college, and had been driving the wheels off that car. After looking a few places and driving a few cars.. my heart was set on this.

2007 Ford Mustang

I was happy, well, BEYOND happy. A brand new car with nothin but time to waste in it. I loved that car so much.. while I was single. I met Jeremy + Jeremy had two boys + Boys couldn't fit comfortably in back seat = Mustang needed to go & Sad Krystal. So I traded the following August, leaving me in the mustang seventeen happy months. Well, eight happy months, one month without, and the following eight months worrying. Why worry? Because I totaled a deer in the mustang. Hit it, drug it under the car, and did $6,000 worth of damage.

I went to the lot where I bought the Stang', looking for something bigger. I left with this.

2005 Chevy Equinox

Ehh, not so fond of this one. In fact, I had to look through 981 pictures to find this one single picture of the equinox, on the car lot, the day I got it. I hit a deer in this one too, and though I wish it would've totaled the car and NOT the deer... there was only $4,000 worth of damage that time.

I've been looking to trade for a while. A long while. I knew what I wanted, just couldn't find exactly what I wanted. Last Thursday, while taking Kaylee to Little Rock for some tests... I found what I wanted.

2009 Ford F150

Please excuse my husband, whom is talking on the phone in all of the above pictures..
I let him drive because he had just bought me this..

Woo hoo!!
And what does Miss Kaylee think of her momma's new ride???

She won't stay awake in it long enough to let me know!

Crafty!

I've been a bit crafty lately. Please give me your thoughts!!

These are flower pens. What you need:
  • 5-6 different fake colored flowers (or all the same, whatever you like!)
  • Ball Point Pens (not any that click)
  • Floral Tape

1. Cut Flower off of the bundle (leave plenty of "stem" for a good hold around the pen to be wrapped)
2. Put the flower as close to the end of the end as possible
3. Wrap with Floral Tape.
4. Put in Flower Pot. (I got accent rocks to put in the pot, so the flowers will stay better once they go back in.

Picture Frame
Just had an idea and went with it! I LOVE the results.

Hair Bow Holders in Kaylee's initials..
I painted the dots and hot glued the ribbon on. Sorry you can't see the ribbon very well, there are 2 from the K and H, one from the G, and it's reverse colors of the letters (red with white dots).
When painting the letters, I started thinking it was a little Easter eggish..
I did red/white since her room will be in farm animals

When i'm not doing things like crafts... i'm doing things like this..
Lemon Ice Box Pie

YUM!!!

This is NOT one of my crafts, but it is one of my mom's crafts. She made this for Kaylee

We love farm animals
Kaylee stretchin on her new blanket!

My sweet little girl!

Isn't she just a doll?! Not an ACTUAL doll of course, unlike some people are doing these days. My little Kaylee cakes is cute as can be, and also as REAL as she can be.

OH MY

Yes, I know. I've been away, for quite some time. I also know how bad you all have missed me. (Hehee). I could make a list of reasons why I haven't been around, but i'm sure none of you really want to know (right?!). Oh well, here's my list anyways...

1) Kaylee has been sick, high temp, congestion.. blah
2) I started summer graduate classes, I should have known.. right?
3) Packing. Even though I only have 3 boxes packed, it's better than the 1 box I had packed this time last week.
4) Spending time with PJ and Emma. Even though life is hectic right now- my friend PJ is staying with us while her husband is working in Magnolia. They have a precious little girl and a sweet little boy. You can check out and follow her blog here.. http://babysethryan.blogspot.com/

5) Did I mention i'm taking a summer graduate class? And that I have 5 books for this one class?
6) Looking for a house in Crossett. We found one, just hope everything works out.
7) Farm Town. I can't lie, i'm addicted.

So, now that you all know what I have been doing... what's been going on with you??!

Remember When?

Remember when I posted about a certain "Wednesday" that was a surprise...
Or a Tuesday that was "part 2 of Wednesday"..
Do you remember?

Time passed, and I didn't know what to say. Things did not go the way I expected. I had people I didn't even know telling me the results of these two days, just to later find out "something happened". I still don't know what happened, and I honestly still don't want to talk about it. I will say, it was for a job. A job I didn't get, even after everyone heard I had. Everything works out for the best though, or at least that's what i'm going to hope because...

Starting July 1, i'll be the 2nd Teacher in a 2 Teacher Program at Crossett High School! Teaching Agriculture of course, i'll have some Intro to Agriculture classes, a Greenhouse class and another Intro to the World of Agriculture. Or something like that, it's not all set in stone. I do get to meet my students next week, and spend some time with them. Luckily, next week, i'll get to meet MOST of the Officer Team also. I'm very excited.

We will be moving, so it's a good thing I started packing not long ago. I have a LONG LONG LONG ways to go.. but I did start.. that's a plus right?

This is where I live now.

And this is where Crossett is...

It's about a 2 hour drive. Not bad, but I want to live closer. I wanted to get out of Southern Arkansas... but Southern Arkansas LOVES me. And that's ok, cause i'm loving Southern Arkansas more and more!

Ugh

My teeth are clenched so tight my jaw hurts.
My stomach is in knots.
My fingernails are non-existant...
My body is going through a crisis....
Period.
I'm stressed. I thought once school was out, I would be better. I thought once Kaylee was home, I would be better. I thought I thought I thought. I'm still thinking. Can't stop thinking. Why is this so stressful? Am I finally going to see the end of my "wednesday" that I no longer want to even THINK about much less talk about, my endless search, my constant struggle... as if I don't have enough going on in my life.

Obsessed??

Obessed? Maybe a little. I love changing my hair. I've changed it so much, it's even starting to look a little gray...
Well, in these pictures anyways. The toner does have to wash out, then it will look more blonde, rather than silver. But, it doesn't even look silver in person, just the lighting in my house added to the camera flash.

How'd I do it you ask? Instead of blonde hi-lights, brown lo-lights, I wanted more brown than blonde... yet both. So I switched it up. It's still got some blonde.. just not alot. It's like the opposite of blonde highlights.

And, instead of getting my usual "stacky" layers, I want to grow the top layer of the back out so it'll come over my jacked up wavy hair in the back. I just didn't mesh well with the stacky look, I LOVED it... but my hair doesn't agree.

All you mama's out there.. I need help! Is my little girl really ready for cereal, or am I imagining things? She had a full bottle not even an hour before I took these videos. She usually only wants her paci when she sleeps, but look at this girl! She only does this when she thinks she's starving. Kaylee is almost 9 weeks old, but only supposed to be 5 days old! I had to start cereal at 2 weeks old! Please give me some advice!!!

This video really doesn't do it justice. She really eats good, without spitting up much. She just acts like she doesn't like it, maybe I can switch her formula soon. She just stays so hungry! Am I crazy for thinking it could be time for cereal? I'm only talking about it being VERY little cereal.

SURPRISE!!! (And i'm NOT pregnant!)

Happy Late Mother's Day to all Mother's (or soon to be Mother's, or friends who have Mothers.. everyone I guess!) I've been around, but it's hard to get internet connection with all the storms. Did I ever mention I live on 80 acres in the middle of no where? Well, you know now.

A Recap of MY Mother's Day:

I got to...

A) Lay around the house all day with Kaylee and Jeremy, cha ching!

B) get the scrapbook I wanted!

C) Jeremy stayed on the phone looking for me a Dairy Goat!! We're going to get some in a couple of weeks! Cha Ching # 2!!

D) TALK, yes, only TALK about going to IHOP :( Story below..

TODAY... (as in, Tuesday May 12th) I got a SURPRISE Baby shower from Tyler's 4-H group!! How sweet!! They had a cupcake cake (ya know, the cakes that look like a cake but it's all cupcakes), punch, presents, and a diaper cake made by his 4-H leader. She took a picture of me and Kaylee, with all the 4-H'ers to put in the paper. I was really shocked! I had no clue, I didn't even wonder when Jeremy kept insisting I take Tyler to 4-H when I didn't feel like it. I did forget my camera though, so I only got a picture of the diaper cake. I hate that I forgot it too, it was a mardi gras theme (with beads and all!) and the 4-H'ers learned the cha cha slide and cupid shuffle. Bwahahaha!!! It was soo funny! You must know, when both of these songs came out, I was somewhat active in my "bar days". So watching a group of 5-9 year olds dance around in socks with mardi gras beads hanging to their knees was a hoot!

Please ignore my messy kitchen table.. ehh, it was finals week last week!!

I'm trying this out, I uploaded a video for the first time, of my oh-so wonderful baby. She is hungry, so she's a little fussy (but it's still not bad!) Oh yea, turn your volume WAY down, I sound like a baby seal on crack.

I was just about to end this post, when Jeremy walks over and hands me his new bird, Tinker. Tinker is a Meyer Parrot.

Hello Tinker

Tinker is a only a couple of months old, we got her right off of hand feeding while Kaylee was still at Baptist. I had just picked her up at the airport (Tinker that is) the day before my re-scheduled baby shower.

Well, Tinker was giving me goodnight sugars (oh yes.. bird kisses are the best!) and I was handing her back to Jeremy, when I got a lovely surprise (Surprise #2 for the day!) running down my laptop screen.

So, I grabbed the nearest thing, a dirty sock, and cleaned it off my screen before it ran down into my keyboard. Don't worry, it is a holey sock, I was going to throw it away anyways.

So to end.. I know you are dying to know what stopped us from eating at IHOP. I went with Jeremy to pick up the boys Sunday night. We got held up in Ashdown for 45 minutes!! What?! It's 4-lane highway, and we're stopped for 45 minutes?! I'm thinking blood must have been shed ahead to be held up that long... what was it you ask? A Freakin-Flood. Yep. The entire road was flooded, they were pulling cars out.. we were driving less than 5 mph trying to get through... it was terrible. Water was up the doors on my SUV. So, instead of going back that way, we went a different route taking us through Hope instead of Texarkana.. I still got to choose were we ate though. Since my favorite, Big Jake's, is closed on Sunday.. and we have been banned from Burger King since Aidan used the urinal for #2, our only other option where they wouldn't spit in our food was Pizza Hut. Don't worry though, my next available chance to eat at IHOP will come soon enough!

Mother's Day Wish List

Since Mother's Day is Right around the corner... i'm letting all of you know what i'd REALLY like to have (and maybe, just maybe... my husband will read this!)

Top Ten

1) Not this exactly, but I found the CUTEST scrapbook the other day that I REALLY want for Kaylee. I wouldn't mind having this package of papers/stickers/etc. too though! We'll make the actual picture #2 of my top 10!

2) The package, in case you didn't read # 1

3) Some Dairy Goats. Did I ever mention i'm kinda weird?

4) Though i'd prefer to actually buy the whole store, well, the clothes in it anyways... i'd be happy just GOING to The Children's Place.

5) To eat at IHOP. I didn't say I was hard to please did I? I don't even have to be hungry to eat here!!!

6) Yum Yum YUM!!! Give me some crawfish and you'll make my Mother's Day one i'll NEVER forget!

7) A Rose Breasted Cockatoo

8) Laundry, dishes, sweeping, and dusting to magically do themselves.

9) I can dream, right?

10) A day of laying around the house with the husband and sweet Kaylee.. that will work for me!
