I want to take just a minute and share with you some pictures of her journey, being a premature baby.

SURPRISE!!! (And i'm NOT pregnant!)

Happy Late Mother's Day to all Mother's (or soon to be Mother's, or friends who have Mothers.. everyone I guess!) I've been around, but it's hard to get internet connection with all the storms. Did I ever mention I live on 80 acres in the middle of no where? Well, you know now.

A Recap of MY Mother's Day:

I got to...

A) Lay around the house all day with Kaylee and Jeremy, cha ching!

B) get the scrapbook I wanted!

C) Jeremy stayed on the phone looking for me a Dairy Goat!! We're going to get some in a couple of weeks! Cha Ching # 2!!

D) TALK, yes, only TALK about going to IHOP :( Story below..

TODAY... (as in, Tuesday May 12th) I got a SURPRISE Baby shower from Tyler's 4-H group!! How sweet!! They had a cupcake cake (ya know, the cakes that look like a cake but it's all cupcakes), punch, presents, and a diaper cake made by his 4-H leader. She took a picture of me and Kaylee, with all the 4-H'ers to put in the paper. I was really shocked! I had no clue, I didn't even wonder when Jeremy kept insisting I take Tyler to 4-H when I didn't feel like it. I did forget my camera though, so I only got a picture of the diaper cake. I hate that I forgot it too, it was a mardi gras theme (with beads and all!) and the 4-H'ers learned the cha cha slide and cupid shuffle. Bwahahaha!!! It was soo funny! You must know, when both of these songs came out, I was somewhat active in my "bar days". So watching a group of 5-9 year olds dance around in socks with mardi gras beads hanging to their knees was a hoot!

Please ignore my messy kitchen table.. ehh, it was finals week last week!!

I'm trying this out, I uploaded a video for the first time, of my oh-so wonderful baby. She is hungry, so she's a little fussy (but it's still not bad!) Oh yea, turn your volume WAY down, I sound like a baby seal on crack.

I was just about to end this post, when Jeremy walks over and hands me his new bird, Tinker. Tinker is a Meyer Parrot.

Hello Tinker

Tinker is a only a couple of months old, we got her right off of hand feeding while Kaylee was still at Baptist. I had just picked her up at the airport (Tinker that is) the day before my re-scheduled baby shower.

Well, Tinker was giving me goodnight sugars (oh yes.. bird kisses are the best!) and I was handing her back to Jeremy, when I got a lovely surprise (Surprise #2 for the day!) running down my laptop screen.

So, I grabbed the nearest thing, a dirty sock, and cleaned it off my screen before it ran down into my keyboard. Don't worry, it is a holey sock, I was going to throw it away anyways.

So to end.. I know you are dying to know what stopped us from eating at IHOP. I went with Jeremy to pick up the boys Sunday night. We got held up in Ashdown for 45 minutes!! What?! It's 4-lane highway, and we're stopped for 45 minutes?! I'm thinking blood must have been shed ahead to be held up that long... what was it you ask? A Freakin-Flood. Yep. The entire road was flooded, they were pulling cars out.. we were driving less than 5 mph trying to get through... it was terrible. Water was up the doors on my SUV. So, instead of going back that way, we went a different route taking us through Hope instead of Texarkana.. I still got to choose were we ate though. Since my favorite, Big Jake's, is closed on Sunday.. and we have been banned from Burger King since Aidan used the urinal for #2, our only other option where they wouldn't spit in our food was Pizza Hut. Don't worry though, my next available chance to eat at IHOP will come soon enough!

Mother's Day Wish List

Since Mother's Day is Right around the corner... i'm letting all of you know what i'd REALLY like to have (and maybe, just maybe... my husband will read this!)

Top Ten

1) Not this exactly, but I found the CUTEST scrapbook the other day that I REALLY want for Kaylee. I wouldn't mind having this package of papers/stickers/etc. too though! We'll make the actual picture #2 of my top 10!

2) The package, in case you didn't read # 1

3) Some Dairy Goats. Did I ever mention i'm kinda weird?

4) Though i'd prefer to actually buy the whole store, well, the clothes in it anyways... i'd be happy just GOING to The Children's Place.

5) To eat at IHOP. I didn't say I was hard to please did I? I don't even have to be hungry to eat here!!!

6) Yum Yum YUM!!! Give me some crawfish and you'll make my Mother's Day one i'll NEVER forget!

7) A Rose Breasted Cockatoo

8) Laundry, dishes, sweeping, and dusting to magically do themselves.

9) I can dream, right?

10) A day of laying around the house with the husband and sweet Kaylee.. that will work for me!

Welcome to the Disaster State , errr.. Natural State!

In order to get myself back on track, I’m going to try an easy to do post, about my Home State in which I still reside..unfortunately.

I am inviting you today, in case you already don’t, to join me in living in the great state of Arkansas. Here are some reasons why…

1)You never have to separate your clothes into fall/winter/spring/summer categories. Not only do you experience all 4 seasons in one day, Arkansas may actually the only state that jumps from Summer to Winter, and back to Summer skipping Fall and Spring!

2)Sleeping through tornado sirens comes as a second nature. They are as frequent and as unwanted as your daily alarm clock going off.

3)The farther South you go, the sweeter the tea gets and people literally start asking “Would you like some tea with your sugar?”

4)The farther South you go, the weirder the people get.. and I’m wondering if that’s why I’ve stayed in the VERY bottom for five years now.

5)One of the most looked forward to events across is Toad Suck. While you happily enter the Toad Race on the Toad Square, your kids can enjoy various acts of the Toadal Kids Zone. This is of course, if you don’t want to join ME at the World Championship Steak-Cookoff, watching the parade of grills and choosing your hot steak right off the grill at the Magnolia Blossom Festival .. or even joining in on the Tiller Race at the Purple Hull Pea Festival. We could always go back to my hometown and celebrate in the Brick Capitol, joining in on some good ol’ brick tossing and all. Whatever you like!

6)Not only can you see various types of wild animals, they come right up to your front (or back) porch and sometimes even chase you!

7)It is not uncommon in schools for them to teach students to say “The” in front of places. “Let’s go to The McDonalds”. “I really need to go to The Wal-Mart”.

8)It is also not uncommon for your third cousin’s boyfriend’s sister’s best friend to visit you in the hospital. Don’t be afraid to turn down the 3rd case of beer offered, or the pizza delivery man’s personal cell phone number.

9)Speaking of hospitals… if you do happen to visit, or even move here, don’t be leery of the man standing in the corner holding a briefcase the size of Kentucky down in the Canteen. He’ll sell you any movie you like at a discount rate of $20 for 5 pirated , err… hot off the press movies.

10) Since I have more than convinced you that Arkansas in the place for you, I invite you to even come stay with me as a test drive. While at my home, you can help me wash dishes/haul hay/feed spitting livestock/chase after 2 wild boys/and change dirty diapers. All free of charge!!!

Who wants to book a room first?!

There are some things I know...

*The storms have been terrible this weekend.

*I'm glad i'm not home (regardless of how bad I WANT to be home) since my house has been without electricity since yesterday afternoon.

*My 23rd birthday is in 11 Days

*Finals are this week, and I still don't know the names of my classes this semester.

*It's wonderful having friends with boys a little younger than my youngest (step), so I can pass down clothes instead of having more to sell in a yard sale.

*Kaylee is already spoiled to being held after spending this weekend at my parent's house (oh yay for me...)

*IHOP is the greatest restaurant EVER

*Strangers wanting to touch my baby puts me in panic mode, which leads to a cold sweat and throwing flames from my eyes

*The Lifetime movie that is on right now has to be the WORST thing i've ever seen

*I feel like I have lost my ability to write long post

*I miss the stories of being chased by
armadillos, or giving real estate advice.

*I'm ready to get back to my LIFE, as in, without month long hospital stays and Doctor's appointments not being EVERY day

*Kaylee's vision screen is tomorrow, at Baptist, which is why I am staying with my parents.

*I... MISS... JEREMY! When i'm away from him I stay on the verge of TEARS!! Tears I tell ya, sobbing, can't catch my breathe, on the point of a breakdown TEARS when we're apart. Sad, I know.

*My dad just went to buy me ice cream :)

Quick! We need your help!

Kaylee is making her first adventure into a large crowd of people overwhelmed to see her. That's right, Kaylee is going to church! She is not sure of what she wants to wear, so we need your help.

Her "still can't wear until i'm 3 months old" preemie outfit that we brought her home in. Well, that we made it to my parent's house in, and while changing her diaper she pee'd all over it.

The too cute dress from Ashley!

Or.. the dress says it all.. "Pretty Girl"

I don't have a prize to give away, but if you help us with this decision, I will cook for you anytime you're in Southern Arkansas, with a larger than life appetite for souther cooking and tea that is just a little too sweet :)
